JLP to honour Seaga
published: Thursday | May 26, 2005

SEAGA

THE JAMAICA Labour Party (JLP) is to honour former party and Opposition Leader Edward Seaga tomorrow at a banquet.

The event is to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Jamaica Pegasus Hotel where Mr. Seaga will be honoured for his 45-year unbroken contribution to Jamaican politics.

Mr. Seaga, now a distinguished fellow at the University of the West Indies, retired as party and Opposition Leader earlier this year.

A release from the JLP stated that Grenadian Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell will be guest speaker. Frank Fahrenkopf, former chairman of the Republican Party in the United States, will represent former President George H. Bush.
