An additional 56 students from the Continuing Education Department on the Mandeville campus will be honoured on June 2, when the ceremonies come to an end. The additional numbers from the Mandeville campus will bring the total number of awardees to 280.

The 280 awardees represent 17 per cent of the 1500 students enrolled in the Continuing Education program. Eight students received the highest award of Summa cum laude, 54 walked away with Magna cum laude, 55 with Cum laude and one hundred and sixty three made the honours list.
Honours Convocation is a yearly event put on by the University to honour its students for their outstanding academic performance. During this ceremony students are admonished to continue in their quest for excellence as "higher than the highest human thoughts can reach, is God's ideal for His children".
