THREE JAMAICANS, led by Olympic 200 metres champion Veronica Campbell, who raced to an easy victory, emerged winners at yesterday's International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) Turin Grand Prix in Turin, Italy.

Campbell, who won three medals at last summer's Olympics gold in the 200m and sprint relay, and bronze in the 100m took yesterday's event in a season best 22.35 seconds.

The former world junior sprint double champion, defeated fellow Jamaican, Peta-Gaye Dowdie (23.04), a former national champion, into second and Laverne Jones of the United States Virgin Island (23.53).

Other Jamaican winners at the meet were Davian Clarke and Patrick Jarrett.

Clarke continued his impressive season with another 400m victory, his third this year. He won in 45.52 to beat Ali Nagmeldin Abibakr of Sudan who produced the same time, and Eric Milazar of Mauritius (45.54).

Patrick 'Rodman' Jarrett won the men's 100m title in 10.38 seconds, beating Italian Dacastello Stefano (10.42) and Brazian Pacheco Bruno (10.56).
