WEDDING OF THE WEEK - LASTING IMPRESSION
published: Monday | June 13, 2005

The bride and groom beam for the camera.

' Think not that you can direct the course of love, because, if it finds you worthy, love directs your course. - The groom, Errol Mighty quoting Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran '

FIRST IMPRESSIONS aren't always right, just ask Charmaine Rochester and Errol Mighty who got married on March 5.

For 15 years the couple crossed paths at various business-oriented meetings and later as colleagues working at Blue Cross of Jamaica - she a Sales Representative, he an Executive Vice President - but each thought the other was a snob.

That impression lasted until two and a half years ago when they ran into each other at a party and started a conversation which led to lively communication, friendship, romance and eventually their wedding at Swallowfield Chapel, Kingston 5.

More than 200 family members, friends and business associates were on hand for the ceremony and reception of two of the most well known personalities in health insurance circles. She is now an Executive Agent at Blue Cross and he is the Chairman and CEO of Firm Insurance Brokers.

During the reception at the Hilton Kingston Hotel, the groom waxed poetic, describing his bride as a beautiful person inside and out. Plus, he quipped, "She laughs at all my jokes."
