Reno, Arnett end goalless
published: Monday | June 13, 2005

WESTERN BUREAU:

THE PRELIMINARY rounds of the 2004-05 Wray and Nephew National Premier League officially came to an end yesterday after Reno and Arnett Gardens played to a 0-0 draw in their rescheduled game at Frome.

The game was the only one on the schedule and was originally fixtured on Tuesday but had to be postponed due to heavy rains and a water-logged field.

This was the first draw between the teams in three meetings this season after the other two games were split, Reno winning 1-0 in the first round at Frome while Arnett won 2-0 in the second round at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

The game had very little interest but a win would have taken Reno ahead of Wadadah and into eighth place. However, the teams finished tied on 32 points, one ahead of Constant Spring.

Arnett could not improve on their fifth place finish, ending on 59 points and were not in danger of being overtaken by any team behind them.
