Earth runnings - The rumble from Sunday's earthquake was just a sign of Asafa coming

LOOK HERE now, speaking of quakes and things in the news, do you remember hearing somewhere or the other that when big things a go happen sometimes all nature wait wid bated breath?

Sometimes, after 'big' people die (yuh know GOOD people) nuff rain fall, lightning strike, thunder clap loud loud and things happen. Remember when Jesus was crucified how the place got dark and all dem things? Yes man.

So, me is convinced now that the earth wey connect Jamaica to all a foreign dun know what a go happen. Yes man, the message dun come home already, long time, we just never know how fi interpret it. So Tuesday evening's international quake -- ASAFA at 9.77 seconds -- was a sign. Hello, nuh the same time the earth did shake on Sunday night? Me feel it in a mi soul, a telling yuh!

HE CAME THROUGH

So nuff big up fi di humble country youth. After the disappointment of the Athens Olympics last year him come through in Olympic proportions -- and where else but in Athens!

Yes man, sometimes yuh haffi go back to the site of disappointment fi meet the real and true appointment.

Mi sey mi proud a di bway. We likkle but we tallawah fi true. Yes man, de bway do we proud, mek we heart swell up big big. Such a good youth too. Him deserve it bad. Him was just a likkle too nervous last year and nothing like a likkle setback fi bring out the best, eeh?

Him still have time fi mek the next Olympics, or three (Merlene style), so we trust he will remain well for those challenges. The national championship is next weekend - so I am planning fi go see him in action.

Last Wednesday when he landed back in the island I had a meeting at the airport that evening so me was planning fi go 'waggonist' it out and go try 'touch him'. You see, me coulda go 'fake work' and go meet him, and is not me one would be guilty if me wen do it.

You see the newspaper? - "... staff members at the airport who left their stations ..." Alas, I had to stay at the office and teleconference.

It really good fi see Jamaica name pon the World Record list though. Me really glad too dat a one a we man dem name dey pon it. We man-pickney dem need some vision, a telling yuh.

Walk good. (But if you can run, jump or swim, or whatever, gwaan go dweet. We need some more big ups.)
