A rocky road to the altar
published: Monday | June 20, 2005

Debbie Ann Pottinger and Tevon Hall.

IT WAS not love at first sight when Debbie-Ann Pottinger met Tevon Hall at a Life Tabernacle convention in 2000.

"But as we spent more time together at church events I grew to like him," says Pottinger, 24.

"About two months after we met, I decided to give him a chance. Tevon (25) wanted to get married during the first year of the relationship. However, I was studying and decided that it was best that we wait until I left school. In the third year of our relationship we broke up, I was not ready for marriage."

A year later the pair got back together and were married on May 21. The ceremony took place at The Assemblies of the First Born Life Tabernacle Church. The presiding officers were Rev. R.Z. Ormsby and Rev. M.L. Clarke. The reception was held at Pollyanna Caterers, Stanton Terrace, St. Andrew.

The couple honeymooned at Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay.
