Bomb Explodes in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Reports out of Trinidad and Tobago say an explosion which occurred nearly two hours ago has left one person dead and six others injured.

According to reports a man was seen running away from a garbage bin on Henry Street in Downtown, Port of Spain after depositing a bag in the receptacle.

Its reported that the explosion occurred shortly after.

The police have since ordered the evacuation of Frederick Street which is parallel to Henry Street.

Reports say the explosion occurred three blocks away from the country's Parliament and a block away from the Mayor's Office.

Its not yet clear what caused the explosion or whether the police have apprehended a suspect.
