Rains from 'Dennis' flood St Catherine
SEVERAL COMMUNITIES in St. Catherine were badly affected by last week's heavy rains from Hurricane Dennis. Among the most affected was the Nightingale community, off Old Harbour Road.

Jungle justice claims teenager
NICHOLAS DAKERS, alias 'Bin Laden', 13 years old, became the victim of another case of 'jungle justice', after he was tried, found guilty, and sentenced to death in a kangaroo court by a group of gunmen last Wednesday.


'Missing' attorney turns up
WESTERN BUREAU: THERE WAS a sigh of relief throughout Montego Bay yesterday after well known Montego Bay attorney Gordon Brown turned up safe after being declared missing earlier in the day.


Man charged in double murder case
POLICE HAVE charged 39-year-old Peter Dougal with the murders of former president of the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association (JGRA), Lloyd G. Brown, and his fiancée, Sandra Campbell.


Henry is new JTA president-elect
HOPETON HENRY, principal of Seaforth High School in St. Thomas is president-elect of the Jamaica Teachers' Association. Mr. Henry defeated three opponents, tallying 4,213 votes.
