PETER DOUGAL, the man charged with the murder of former president of the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association (JGRA), Lloyd G. Brown, and his fiancée, Sandra Campbell, appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old defendant from Santoy District in Hanover, was ordered remanded in custody to return to court on Tuesday, August 2.
Brown, 62, and Campbell, 49, were shot dead on Sunday, June 6, at Campbell's Stilwell Road home in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, at about 4:00 a.m., police say.
Later that afternoon, the police raided premises in Vineyard Town in eastern Kingston and a group of men allegedly engaged them in a shoot-out.
It is being alleged that during the incident Dougal was shot and injured and two firearms recovered.
Forensic tests done on the weapons proved that one of them was used to murder Brown and Campbell.
