Brown, who was fifth at the National Championships, first stopped the clock at 20.85 to win the 200m ahead of Jorge Richardson (21.80).

In the 100m, Brown, after running 10.33 to qualify for the final, returned with 10.34 seconds to beat compatriot Alanzo Barrett (10.36), a semi-finalist at National Championships.

Meanwhile, former national champions Beverley McDonald and Peta-Gaye Dowdie were also winners on Wednesday at the Meeting International d'Athlétisme de la Province de Liège in Naimette-Xhovémont, Belgium.

McDonald, a four-time national 200m champion, won the 100m in 11.57 seconds.

McDonald, the 1998 national 100m champion, defeated Stephanie Durst (11.65) and Grenadian Hazelann Regis (11.94).

DOWDIE WINS

Meanwhile, Dowdie, winner of the national 100m titles in 1999 and 2000, won the 200m in 23.30 seconds.

Dowdie, the Central American and Caribbean Championships bronze medallist, left in her wake Marina Mindareva of Ukraine (23.67) and Regis (23.68).

Michelle Ballentine (2:06.00) was third in the women's 800m, finishing behind American Kameisha Bennett (2:02.85) and Frenchwoman Virginie Fouquest (2:05.15).
