H View face newcomers Eclipse in KO clash

THE 2005 Sherwin Williams-sponsored Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) women's season gets into full gear today with seven knockout matches.

Defending champions Harbour View will open the season with a home game against newcomers Eclipse of St. James at the Harbour View Mini Stadium.

Elsewhere, Olympic Gardens host to Rae Town at Cling Cling Oval, Waterhouse face Portmore Strikers at Drewsland, Meadhaven, another newcomer, entertain many-time league finalists Untouchables at Campion College and defending league champions Barbican tackle St Catherine Upliftment at Barbican playfield.

Meanwhile, in a battle of new teams, Greenwich Town and Brown's Town Dynamos meet at Tinson Pen, while Trelawny open their account in the league against Brown's Town Revolutionary at the Elleston Wakeland Centre.

The winners of each match will advance to the quarter-finals. Game time is 3:00 p.m.

St. Elizabeth tackled Hughenden in the league opener yesterday at STETHS.
