SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:
A SECURITY guard, who pleaded guilty to larceny of more than $340,000, was remanded in custody until August 18 when he will be sentenced.
He is Anthony Dubson of Waterford, Portmore, St. Catherine.
According to investigating officer, Detective Corporal Maurice Graham of the Waterford Police Station, on July 13 Dubson was the driver of an armoured vehicle which was the property of Crime Prevention Armoured Security Limited, when the vehicle went to the Portmore branch of the National Commercial Bank (NCB) to do courier service.
Dubson's colleagues went into the bank leaving Dubson in the vehicle. When they emerged from the bank they did not see Dubson or the vehicle, which contained $346,936.64. They made a report to the police and the vehicle was found about 6 p.m. in the Passage Fort area of Portmore with over $70,000 in cheques.
