LONDON, England:
THREE JAMAICANS were tied up then shot dead inside their house in North London last Friday night.
The police have identified the victims as 62-year-old Noel Patterson and sisters, 34-year-old Lorna Morrison and 27-year-old Connie Morrison.
Post-mortem results showed that Patterson took three shots to the face and head while Connie Morrison was shot twice in the head.
A nine-month-old boy was found unharmed at the crime scene.
Reports are that the child, Christiano, is Lorna's son. He was found near his mother's body covered in blood. He was taken to the Central Middlesex Hospital and subsequently discharged and is now in the care of social services.
MOTHER OUT WORKING
Detective Superintendent Gary Richardson said the sisters' mother, Evelyn Daley, was out working as a caregiver on the night when the killings took place. According to the police, a friend arrived at the flat to find the front door open and the three victims inside.
"It would appear that the victims had been incapacitated by the use of restraints," said the Det. Supt. "We don't know what the motive was, that is one of our main lines of inquiry, to find out why these people were targeted if indeed they were targeted."
Connie and Lorna were last seen alive on a balcony at Clark Court about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4. They were reportedly seen talking to a black male - laughing and joking. The police are now appealing to the male to come forward. The police also want to speak to three black youths who were seen entering Clark Court. While the police have not ruled out the possibility that the killings were the result of a burglary or robbery, reports from some quarters are they they may be drug-related.
