Bangshowbiz.com: POLICE ARE reopening the investigation into the death of Rolling Stones legend Brian Jones after fresh evidence suggests he was murdered.
The guitarist's former girlfriend, Pat Andrews, has handed over a dossier of events surrounding Jones' mysterious death 36 years ago, when he allegedly drowned in his swimming pool at his British countryside home.
The 150-page report - compiled by a team of private investigators - suggests the musician was murdered over a $14,000 debt.
Andrews is now urging for Jones' body to be exhumed.
She revealed to Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "Disturbing new evidence has emerged which merits a full new police investigation."
The new evidence coincides with a new movie The Wild and Wycked World of Brian Jones, which claims the star was killed by a builder, Frank Thorogood, who drowned him over the debt.

The movie alleges Thorogood held him under water to scare him into handing over the cash.
Andrews along with The Brian Jones Fan Club decided to run its own investigations after they were approached by a new witness who claimed to be working at Jones' home, Cotchford Farm in Sussex, on the night of his death.
The hired investigators, including a former Thames Valley Police superintendent, claim to have found eight pieces of evidence, which disproves the coroner's original verdict of death by misadventure.
Club spokesperson Mr. Hobley said, "We carried out an initial forensic examination at the end of last year. From that we have approached the Home Office and police and hope to get the case reopened and Brian's body exhumed in the near future."
According to Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper, Sussex police are investigating the forensic team's findings before deciding whether to pursue the case further.
