NSWMA stench still in the air
published: Friday | August 19, 2005

Chester Francis-Jackson, Contributor

OH DEARS, just when we were getting ready to let go our noses to catch a breath of fresh air after holding them to avoid the stench emanating from the NSWMA reports, just got a call from a dear friend who has advised that there's more to come as it seems that at least one of the principals involved in the said NSWMA affair, is all set to benefit to the point of 25 per cent in the soon-to-be-divested Caymans Racing enterprise.

Sweet-things, according to sources very close to the whole deal, it seems that the Government has given the green light to the handlers of the divestment to a favoured company. The problem now however, is that one favourite son of the PNP, not unconnected to the maladministration uncovered at the NSWMA, is said to be a major shareholder in the company getting the green light.

DELAYED ANNOUNCEMENT

The announcement has been delayed, however, in an effort not to cause any further scandalous embarrassment to the dying Patterson administration.

Dears, wait for this one, as it is being tagged the 'Pension Plan', as more and more people are now saying the man taking the heat is really fronting for the 'pension'.

It's the age of the Leo, and my dears, celebrations there are a-plenty, and then some!

Luvs, last Saturday Sunday morning began with Ulli Bangerter ringing in his birthday. The day before, DCP MarkSheilds and charming June Robinson, celebrated theirs, as did many another Leo. And dears, this was one hot celebration.

Now the happening couple of Alex and Sheryl Hill celebrate their birthdays a week or so apart, hers being on the ninth and his being today. And sweet-things, the double celebrations will get under way tonight, as a form of birthday-come-house-warming at their St. Andrew residence, and all bets are off on this one, excepting that guests can expect a smasheroni.

And so, the fabulous twins celebrated last Wednesday night, and on Friday night, the much-celebrated modelling sensation, Nadine Willis threw a wonderful little number at the Belisario Suite of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, to celebrate her special day, and dears, it was one fine outing. In fact, it was a bubbler and then some, getting under way as it did at 9:00. p.m, and running way past 2:00. a.m. on Saturday.

BEACON

Nadine is most certainly no flash-in-the-pan or nine-day wonder either. Armed with determination and buttressed by a supporting crew of friends and a community that takes vicarious and real pleasure in her achievements and ground-breaking trailblazing success, she is is a beacon and fabulous example of what can be realised by those who dare not only to dream, but to pursue that dream, to the point of seeing it to fruition.

And so it was, that despite a busy international schedule, she jetted in to Kingston, last week, to celebrate her birthday, with her friends and many supporters.

And there she was, purring like the fabulous kitten she is, those gathered to celebrate with her, numbered among the rich and powerful, and the very movers and shakers of this here fab-society, plus some of the finest-looking young men and women of the now generation, and we are talking fine as in hot here, so you know we are talking an eye-candy buffet here and nothing but!

Dove-cakes, it really proved one excitingly charmingly hot night, the kind of which sweet dreams are made. The party girl made sure that her guests were aware that they were out for a party, and not a wake, and with this in mind, she led they way. Well my dears, not that the guests needed any prompting - it was not that kind of a crowd.

Pumpkins, you know you are having a party, when the invitation you sent out advised guests to come at 9:00. p.m. and guests are still coming in after midnight, and what you had planned was really an intimate little cocktail-type affair!

BUZZING FRIDAY NIGHT

Well sweet-things, this one was like that and then some, and thus making for one buzzing Friday night.

Those out sharing in the joy of the occasion, included: the model's lovely daughter, Tatyana; MP Babsy Grange; Dr. Marion Bullock-Ducasse; Chris Nakash and his fab wife Zein Issa, her twin the equally fab Muna Issa, also out, and dears, they all danced up one fabulous glow; Pulse's Kingsley Cooper; DCP Mark Sheilds; The Pegasus's GM Eldon Bremner, (who actually shares the same birthday as Ms. Willis) and the charming Resident Manager Nancy McLean; Reggae Times Publisher, Wayne Nunez and his sibling Trefina Asidu; culinary and style doyenne Jacquie Tyson; scribe and culinary arbiter Novia McDonald-Whyte; banker Barry Chisholm; Rising Star's Clyde McKenzie and wife Maxine; a flawless-looking June Robinson, and her son Robert Robinson; Champs Modelling Agency founder and head, Debbie Stanley; singer Mikey Spice; Ian Gunther; the fabulous Ashley Martin, she, being the lead singer for BL&D; Sharon Beckford of Bling-Bling; a masterful looking André Wellington, who had heads turning in his wake, his towering height and fashion sense making him the beau of the ball; Dawn Fritz; and Nubian Prince Dean Robinson; and DJ Lady G, who brought greetings on behalf of the DJ fraternity.
