Smith ... down for the triple jump despite injury. - FILE

OLYMPIC 200 METRES champion Veronica Campbell, world champion triple jumper Trecia Smith and World Championships 100m silver medallist Michael Frater, headline Jamaican entries for today's Golden League meet in Zurich, Switzerland.

Campbell, the World Championships 100m silver medallist, will join fellow countrywoman Sherone Simpson, who finished sixth in Helsinki, along with world champion Lauryn Williams, Bahamian Chandra Sturrup, American Mellisa Barber, Olympic champion Yuliya Nestarenka and world 200m champion Allyson Felix, in a strong 100m field seeking to upstage French woman Christine Arron, who is just two wins away from the US$1 million jackpot award.

FRATER, GATLIN CLASH

Frater will once again have a crack at world champion Justin Gatlin in the men's 100m. Frater will also have to face former world record holder Maurice Greene, who is also an Olympic and World Championships gold medallist, dethroned world champion Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis, Leonard Scott of United States, Aziz Zakari of Ghana and Portugal's Francis Obikwelu.

Gatlin said he will not play ease-up as he has to perform like a champion.

I have to perform like a champion because everybody is gunning for me. Francis Obikwelu, Michael Frater and the other young talents, all are hungry to be a champion, too."

However, he also issued a warning to his growing list of rivals.

"I most definitely can get faster than the 9.88 seconds of Helsinki with that bad weather. I can run faster if I have a first half like in Rome and then finish with a second half like that in Helsinki. So I guess a 9.8 time is possible tomorrow (today)," he said at the meet press conference.

Smith is down for the triple jump despite hurting herself in winning at the World Championships last week.

Tatjana Lebedeva, the other person remaining in contention for the US$1 million jackpot, returns to the event after pulling out of the second round at the World Championships.

In the women's 100m hurdles, World Championship medallists Delloreen Ennis-London and Brigitte Foster-Hylton will face world champion Michelle Perry and Olympic champion Joanna Hayes. Canadian Perdita Felicien, the dethroned world champion, is also listed to take part.

Brandon Simpson will face Olympic and world champion Jeremy Wariner in the men's 400m. The strong field includes Americans Donald Williamson and World Championships silver medallist Andrew Rock, Bahamian Christopher Brown, Canadian Tyler Christopher and Great Britain's Tim Benjamin. Maurice Wignall is down for the 100m hurdles.

BOLT OUT

Usain Bolt, who was set to line up in the Under-23 200m, withdrew from the event and Sunday's Grand Prix meet in Sheffield, England upon the recommendation of doctors. Bolt sustained a hamstring injury during the 200m final at the World Championships.

Kemel Thompson will face world champion Bershawn Jackson of United States in the men's 400m hurdles.
