Feeling on Top Of The World

IS THERE a better feeling than looking down over the city from a high perch, the wind blowing through your hair (if you have any) while admiring the illumination below.

Very soon, guests at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel will have the opportunity to experience what it feels like on 'Top Of The World', the hotel's new suite located, literally, up on the roof. Special guests were invited to get what was basically a sneak preview.

"We had to break bread first with those closest to us," said General Manager Eldon Bremner in what Marcia Erskine described as the shortest opening ceremony speech ever.

The open-air suite adds to the options for those looking to host that party that will be talked about for years. In fact, the Trini Chix, that fun-loving group from the twin islands will be hosting a little soca session sometime soon; but that's for another time. Guests were treated to delightful ham and and other tasty delights while appreciating the acoustic sounds of Warm and Easy.

Guests included: Michael Edwards, Lystra Sharpe; Prudence Simpson; Marcia Erskine; Gurney Beckford and son Gavin; designer Les Campbell; Stephen Jones of Boone Hall Oasis; Judith Bodley; Al Edwards; David Shields; Tom DeSulme; Michael Anthony Cuffe and wife Dana; Franklyn McKnight; Christene King and Beryl Francis.
