Alia ' s collection: Bags to behold
published: Sunday | August 21, 2005

Douglas Orane embraces his daughter, Alia Michele Orane, at her 'Aliamichele' ladies handbag collection launch last Thursday, held at Acadia Drive, Kingston 8.

PROUD PAPPA, GraceKennedy head, Douglas Orane, said there's never an Orane event without the blessings from above. But though it rained, Alia Michele Orane's launch of Aliamichele, a line of women's handbags, went on.

And among those who showed up to celebrate the event with the Orane's last Thursday were: Robert MacMillan Glynne Manley, Corina Meeks and Audrey Hinchcliffe, Simone Clarke, Nasha Douglas, Ruth Scott and her daughter Rachel Scott, Ray Chang as well as several members of the business community and fashion industry.

BLAZING HOT

Though it was a wet night the patrons were blazing hot in some fabulously stylish outfits. Master of ceremonies, Douglas Orane put a witty spin on things as he paved the way for his daughter Alia to unveil her collection.

The bags feature designs for day, night and the beach and turned out to be a success as many individuals placed orders for their first Aliamichele bag.
