'The Transporter 2': Action, intrigue, suspense!
published: Wednesday | August 31, 2005

Lola (Kate Nauta) quietly threatens the implacable Frank Martin (Jason Statham) in a scene from 'The Transporter 2'. - CONTRIBUTED

JASON STATHAM returns in his signature role: ex-Special Forces operative Frank Martin, aka 'The Transporter'. Frank is the best in the business; he hires himself out as a mercenary 'transporter' who moves goods: human or otherwise. Very simply, he delivers ... no questions asked.

Now retired, Frank relocates from the French Mediterranean to Miami, where, as a favour to a friend, he makes a living, driving for the wealthy Billings family, which includes six-year-old twin brothers - Jack and Devon - the former with whom he has unexpectedly bonded. But when the boys are abducted, Frank must use all his battle-tested combat skills to bring them to safety and thwart the kidnapper's master plan to release a virus that will kill anyone with whom it comes in contact.

The Transporter 2, which also stars Alessandro Gassman, Amber Valletta and Kate Nauta was directed by Louis Leterrier from screenplay by Luc Besson & Robert Mark Kamen.
