Meet the Beauties in the Miss Jamaica World Pageant. One of the 15 lovely ladies will be representing Jamaica in the Miss World Pageant to be held in Sanya, China on December 10. In the meantime get to know who they are.

Name: Zahra Small

Miss Eden Gardens

Age: 21

Occupation: Student

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 121 lbs.

Q: Why did you decide to enter.

ZS: I decided to enter for a number of reasons. It is the combination of the two things that I am most passionate about: I want to become a doctor and also design and own my own clothing line.

Q: What is your best quality.

ZS: I am a people person, I like being around people and socialising.

Q: If you could change one feature or thing about yourself what would it be?

ZS: I wish I could draw, I am not really artistic.

Q:Why do you think you should win.

ZS: I think I have the personality, the vivaciousness and I really want it.

Q: Name one difficulty you faced in the past and overcame.

ZS: When I entered the Miss Universe pageant several years ago, I found out my weak point and I thought it was public speaking. So whenever I get the opportunity, I try to put myself out there.

Q: Give one word to describe yourself.

ZS: Bubbly.

Q: If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be any why.

ZS: Nelson Mandela. I recently finished reading his autobiography. Just the fact that he is a freedom fighter and will stick to his morals despite what people say to him.

Q: Name one beauty queen you look up to and why.

ZS: Johanna Ulett. She taught at Campion for most of the time I was there and she is a very poised, calm and gentle person. Some people become very conceited when they win and she was nothing like that.

Q: How does being in the competition affect your career goals and will it affect them if you win?

ZS: I think it would help me, because a lot of volunteer work is involved and to do medicine you have to have a lot of volunteer experience.

Q: What is the most important job that someone could do.

ZS: Being a parent, because it is at the root of our problems. There are children having children and not being able to instil the proper morals in children.
