Gas prices reduced
published: Thursday | October 13, 2005

THERE IS a reduction in the prices of petroleum products effective today.

Petrojam, the state-owned oil refinery, yesterday said this was the result of a decline in world demand for oil.

Effective this morning, Petrojam sells a litre of its unleaded 87 octane gas for $52.84, down by 3.20 per litre, while 90 Octane is down by the same margin to $54.30 a litre. Diesel oil is now $47.72 a litre, down by $2.85. There is no change in the price of kerosene oil, which remains at $48.20.

Liquid Petroleum Gas (propane) is down by $1.75 to $26.24, while LPG (Butane) is now being sold for $27.49, a 50-cent reduction.
