LETTER OF THE DAY - The Church must transform society
THE EDITOR, Sir: I DO WONDER when the Church is going to use its influence, akin to its no-nonsense approach in the 1970s, when its existence was threatened by the 'perceived' emergence of communism under the Michael Manley-led PNP administration.

Sabbath sex is no sin
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM responding to a letter of October 17, 2005 regarding 'Sex on the Sabbath'. I must hasten to say that the Word did say 'by consent', which implies that both partners have to agree.

Other side of Mona Heights
THE EDITOR, Sir: ANYONE READINg the letter of Friday October 7, about crime in Mona Heights, would get the impression of a laid-back community just waiting for negative things to happen.

Get civilised, Jamaica
THE EDITOR, Sir: I CAME to Jamaica years ago and fell in love with an illusion. I wanted nothing more than to spend my life here. Then my dream came true and I got to see Jamaica for what it really is, not just a vacation spot.
