Todd Town, Cheapside in Len Blake showdown
published: Saturday | October 22, 2005

THREE NATIONAL players and two former Jamaica Youth players will come face to face when Todd Town take on Cheapside in the second semi-final of the SDC/Len Blake South East St. Elizabeth 35-overs cricket competition.

The match is scheduled for Cheapside playfield and is expected to start at 10:30 a.m.

Jamaican batsmen Brenton Parchment, who had a very good KFC Cup tournament, and Shawn Findlay, who made 91 in the semi-final against Comma Pen, will lead Todd Town's charge against Cheapside with former Jamaica batsman Wayne Cuff.

Former Youth player Howard Powell, who was a member of West Indies' Under-17 winning World Cup team in 2000, will turn out for Todd Town while Mel Wint and Kenroy Williams who both represented Jamaica at the Youth level, will be in the Cheapside line-up.

Other top players expected to feature in the match include David Davidson and Conroy Miller of Todd Town along with Cheapside's Ainsley Goss, Lincoln Brown and Stephon Patterson.

Cheapside beat Little South Ridge in their quarter-final match while Todd Town downed Comma Pen.

The final is set for November 6 at Alpart Sports Club.
