Top teams clash in Pot of Gold football

JOINT ZONE G leaders Merchandiser and Sandals Whitehouse Crocs face-off in tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash as the 2005 Richie Stephens Pot of Gold Westmoreland Community League continues with three matches.

The match will be played at the Llandilo football field at 11:45 a.m., the venue for the other two matches.

Merchandiser and Sandals Whitehouse Crocs lead the four-team Zone G with three points from one game, following 1-0 victories over Pepper All Star and Chantilly respectively.

In the other games, Zone D leaders Stand Pipe entertain Belmont, who are yet to play a game at 10:30 a.m., while Belgium chase their second victory when they face Grotto at 12:30 p.m.

In last Sunday's matches, Russia Youth led by a hat-trick from Ryan Godfrey, crushed Beach All Star 9-0. In other games, Roaring River defeated Gully Bank 3-1, PSV beat Grotto 1-0, as did Merchandiser over Pepper All Star and Young Stars over Fire Bridge while Overbridge and New Hope ended 1-1.
