Lights still out!
published: Sunday | October 23, 2005

SEVERAL COMMUNITIES are still without electricity as a result of a disruption in the power supply due to damage caused by the heavy rains. The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) said on Friday that "while most customers now have electricity, restoration is still taking place in some areas."

Areas without electricity up to Friday include: Caymanas Bay, Rhoden's Pen and surrounding areas in St. Catherine; Moore Town, Stanton District, Fellowship and surrounding areas in Portland; Morgan's Pass, Kellits, Lluidas Vale, Pennants, Banks, Raymonds, Corn Piece and surrounding areas in Clarendon; Christiana, Kendal, Spur Tree and surrounding areas in Manchester; and Balaclava, Black River, and surrounding areas in St. Elizabeth.
