Junk science confusing many

THE EDITOR, Sir:

YES, THE temperature in the Atlantic has warmed and the probable cause for this is volcanic activity in the Antarctic. It has absolutely nothing to do with people using their automobiles nor industrial pollution. Removing carbon dioxide from the air will just slow the rate at which plants grow. Remember, they breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen.

If you insist that it is carbon dioxide that is causing the problems with more storms, areas of drought and slightly higher temperatures, then please consider Mars. Mars is also warming and, to my knowledge there are no automobiles and no industry. If these things are truly causing global warming, then why is Mars warming?

There is science and then there is junk science. Unfortunately, what we hear most of the time is junk science.
