Nestle's recently introduced a new product - Déjà Vu Ice cream. - NORMAN GRINDLEY/DEPUTY CHIEF PHOTOGRAPHER

CHANGES IN ice cream flavours and shapes are always being refreshed to satisfy consumers' taste buds. Flavours have even expanded to include ackee, guava and soursop. Another ice cream maker, Nestle - recently introduced Déjà Vu Black.

The rather interestingly shaped cone is black on the outside, packaged in a crunchy cone and has yummy caramel sauce on the inside.

With this addition to their product range, Nestle asked The Gleaner's editorial department to sample their latest - Deja Vu Black. Here are the comments.

Chocolate VC- coated topping is superb, it starts out very sweet and with great expectations, but then the ice cream seems a little fresh, and the finish is not as great as the start.

It's good. Not too sweet and the chocolate tastes real.

It's sweet and tastes like milk powder, but I like it.

It's good, "chocolatety", nice and sweet. It's a chocolate you can eat for hours.

The chocolate is delicious. I don't have anything negative to say about it. It hits my chocolate craving. Yeah man, this is a hit for chocolate and caramel lovers.

The chocolate is slightly bitter. The ice cream is sweet and nice. I don't like the colour, it's too dark but overall it's nice.

The chocolate on top is a turn-off, It doesn't taste good. Good thing the ice cream is not sweet.

The chocolate is salty and it's too dark in colour. The good thing is that the ice cream is not too sweet.

It reminds me of my husband, dark and sweet!

The colour will be a turn-off for some people because black is not usually a food colour. But it's delicious and I'm enjoying it.

Deja Vu Black reminds me of you know what!!!

It's different, the colour and shape. The ice cream inside is smooth, and the chocolate (caramel) inside is a bit bitter.

I like the crust (chocolate flavour wafer) of it. It is not too sweet. Overall it's delicious.

Tastes good. Tastes like the regular ice cream except for the what's in the middle. However, I don't like the shape.

The chocolate top layer is nice, not too sweet. The ice cream is mild, not sweet and compliments the chocolate. However, the caramel is sweet. The top layer is also crunchy.

I love it. Like the whole chocolate top and crunchy bottom (chocolate flavour wafer), and it's mixed with caramel. Gosh, this is so nice.

The shell (chocolate flavour wafer), and the dark chocolate coating are a bit bitter. Otherwise it was nice.

It was good. It will definitely be a hit with children. I also like the chocolate coating, and it was crunchy.
