SONGS OF FREEDOM

JAVAA Jammin - JAVAA Sings Songs of Freedom is at Jamaica Vibes, 30 Haining Road, New Kingston. Gates open 5:00 p.m. Showtime 10:00 p.m. Errol Lee and the Bare Essentials Band, Abijah, Warrior King, Sugar Minott, Otis Gayle, Ras Mandito and The Congos. MC Junior Sinclair.

OKTOBERFEST

Oktoberfest is at Hotel Four Seasons, 18 Ruthven Road, Kingston 10. Entertainment by 50/50 Band and Ian Gibson Disco. Weekends for two at popular north coast resorts among prizes. Beer drinking and tug-o-war contests. A wide assortment of German and local beer as well as other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served free all night, German and Jamaican cuisine also on sale. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., party time 8:00 p.m.

24TH GRAND CHARITY BALL

The 24th Annual Grand Charity Ball is at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, 81 Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston under the theme 'Glitter, Glamour, Gold'. Entertainment by Fab 5 show band, balladeer Floyd Foulkes and Diamara Neil. Tickets $7000 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Inner City Development Committee, the Christian Boys Home and the Special Olympics Association.

CRUISIN - MADE FOR LOVE
