Saint model appears on Oprah

Jotasha - CONTRIBUTED

SAINT INTERNATIONAL Model Jotasha Turnbull continues to make appearances including her latest on the Oprah Winfrey show for the House of Dereon - the new fashion line from music superstar Beyoncé Knowles.

The New York-based model, was flown to Chicago for the event. Jotasha was selected by Beyonce for the presentation which also featured appearances by friends of Detiny's Child Jotasha was also booked to do the Look Book for the eagerly anticipated fashion line.

The young Jamaican model came on the runway after Beyoncé at Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief show in February this year. Beyoncé, who launched the line with the help of her mother, told Vogue that her fashion line, House of Dereon is inspired by her late grandmother and was named after her.

Beyoncé joins a growing list of music celebrities lending their names to fashion lines. These include Gwen Stefani's line LAMB; Jennifer Lopez's SweetFace and J.Lo; Puff Daddy's Sean John line; Russell Simmonds popular Phat Farm/Baby-Phat lines and Jay-Z's Roc-A-Wear.

Jotasha is represented in New York by Elite Models. Last week, SAINT's head Deiwght Peters confirmed additional agency representation in Australia and Capetown South Africa for her.

BRIGHTEST NEW STAR

Elite named Jotasha as one of their brightest new stars and the only non-American among their top 15 new faces. She made an impressive debut at New York Fashion Week walking for eight shows including Catherine Malandrino, Heatherette, Junko Yashioko, and the celebrity cast of Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief.

The episode of the Oprah Show on which she made her appearance was aired last Friday on CBS.
