ON TUESDAY night Cameon McKenzie celebrated her birthday in style. Cameon and five of her close friends chose The Columbus Restaurant in the Pegasus Hotel to mark her milestone.

The Gleaner went restaurant hopping and when the roving team stopped at the Pegasus, Cameon and her friends had just finished dinner and were lingering over dessert. The group was in high spirits, their infectious laughter pulled attention to their table; you just wanted to know what the joke was. They were happy to talk.

Carlene Peart, who seemed to be the most outgoing of the six women, said she would love for Kingston Restaurant Week to be extended for an additional week.

"Somebody handed us a card in traffic with the participating restaurants on it and that is how we knew about it. It's a wonderful idea," she said.

So, whether it's a special occasion or you simply need somewhere to relax and lyme, you have 23 fabulous locations to choose from, eating out is in! Tomorrow you could be reading about yourself in The Gleaner. Look out for our roving team.
