FLAIR WEDDING - Tying the east and west - 'It was like a little heaven'
published: Monday | November 21, 2005

Duklon and Danielle Stennett. - CONTRIBUTED

DANIELLE AND Duklon Stennett got married on Sunday, August 14, 2005. The beautiful wedding ceremony was held at the Ocho Rios Seventh-day Adventist Church in St. Ann. The reception was held at the Hibiscus Lodge of the Almond Tree Restaurant.

Everything seems to have gone in favour of the Stennetts. The grounds of the church were perfectly manicured, the wedding service was romantic, the food at the reception was scrumptious. "It was like a little heaven," says Danielle Stennett.

The Stennetts, each from opposite sides of Jamaica, met somewhere in the centre of the island. Portland and St. James met in Mandeville, Manchester at Northern Caribbean University. Mr. Stennett who is from St. James did a Computer Science degree and Mrs. Stennett of Portland studied Business Administration. "We were both introduced by a mutual friend. We were always meeting up at the computer lab. It was not love at first sight but it was growing and became a lasting love.

Most of the time it was long distance, Duke was in St. James while I was in Kingston. Well, after six years of dating, long distance phone calls and e-mails, we have finally tied the knot." Now the couple have settled together in Kingston.
