'Harry Potter' - Britain's richest teen
published: Tuesday | November 22, 2005

RADCLIFFE

BANGSHOWBIZ.COM:

HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe has become Britain's richest teenager with a personal fortune of 23 million pounds.

The 16-year-old, who plays the boy wizard, is now worth more than millionaire teen stars Charlotte Church and Joss Stone after signing a contract worth £8 million to appear in the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix .

The firm set up by Radcliffe's parents to manage the star's finances, Gilmore Jacobs, has earned £10 million from the first three films, according to Companies House, which charts the financial activities of all limited businesses.

NEXT FILM

The next set of accounts, due to be filmed next spring, are likely to show another £5m in earnings from Radcliffe's appearance in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - which opened in U.K. cinemas this month.

However, despite his fame and fortune, Radcliffe recently revealed he can't get a girlfriend.

The actor said he still gets tongue-tied when he fancies someone, adding: "I'm much more confident than Harry around girls but just as rubbish! I don't have a girlfriend, but I try!

"It's that whole teenage thing of not knowing what to say. No one should use lines with girls though, they don't work.
