CHRISTMAS IS the season for giving and sharing, and even if you fall at the bottom of the income ladder you should be able to give your loved ones a gift.
Taking into consideration the many students and the unemployed persons in our country, Lifestyle went searching for gifts that cost $500 or less and we found great bargains at places like Azan's in Cross Roads and the Springs, and Mall Pharmacy in the Mall Plaza.
At K's Pharmacy, Duhaney Park Plaza, St. Andrew, we found a two-piece sugar creamer set; hand-painted kitchen accessory set with napkin holder and sugar and salt shaker; and a six-piece decorative glass set, all for less than $400.
Lifestyle also went to Answers Gift and Home Centre, Shop 1, Tropical Plaza, in St. Andrew and found the store loaded with several items for under our budget.
So shoppers, before being a spendthrift shop around, importantly, at the offbeat shops.
Some things that don't cost a fortune include: picture frames, note books, small volumes of inspirational readings, mugs, candles, finger-tip towels, vases, wall plates, clocks, bath accessories, pot-pourri, pens and much more.
Just do some browsing and you may find you will be tempted to keep some of these treasures yourself.
