Pegasus says Thanks!

General Manager of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Eldon Bremner, must be feeling on top of the world these days.

His hotel is expanding and his latest suite, aptly named Top Of The World, is fast becoming the most sought-after place for weddings and other receptions. So where better to hold a 'thank you' reception for his corporate customers than on the roof of Kingston's tallest building?

refurbished ballroom

The Pegasus has upgraded the gardens over the past several months, added two new indoor function rooms and totally refurbished the ballroom.

"We are very pleased at the progress to date, particularly as our many customers have expressed their appreciation for the work we are doing," he said.

Guests were again treated to fine dining in the form of lamb, salmon and, for a Caribbean flavour, roti and curry. The entertainment was provided by Alaine who performed some of her hits, including I Will Do Anything, No Ordinary Love and a great rendition of At Last.

The only damper on the evening was a literal one as the rains came around 9:30, forcing a slightly premature end to the proceedings. But it was sure fun while it lasted.

Guests included Col. Trevor MacMillan, Christine King, Lystra Sharpe, from the Diplomatic Corps Ecuadorian Consul Clelia de Hunter, German Ambassador Volker Schlegel and Ibo Cooper.
