published: Monday | November 28, 2005

THE CONSTABULARY Communication Network (CCN) reported last night that four prisoners were on the run after escaping from the Lawrence Tavern Police Station lock-up in St. Andrew.

A spokesman for the CCN told The Gleaner that, between 6:00 p.m. Saturday and 4:00 a.m. yesterday, five prisoners escaped from the lock-up. One was since captured.

Yesterday police were searching vehicles in Lawrence Tavern as they sought to apprehend the remaining escapees.
