SuperClubs repositions Rooms in Ochi Rios, Jamaica
published: Tuesday | November 29, 2005

ZEIN NAKASH

SUPERCLUBS IS pitching to position its latest Jamaican affiliate resort, Rooms, on the beach, in Ocho Rios, as a prime, cutting-edge North Coast meetings centre for corporate Jamaica and other groups.

The 97-room resort is celebrating a first-anniversary success story as a SuperClubs associate for families, couples and singles.

Zein Nakash, the Super Inclusive group's vice president for marketing and the environment, today announced that a new marketing blitz should lure more Jamaican conventions and meetings to Rooms.

EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES

The resort has two meeting rooms, each with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. These include international satellite link and wireless Internet access, CD projectors, monitors, portable screens, flip chart, easels, markers and wireless microphones.

Rooms' idyllic, beachfront location downtown Ocho Rios, and its budget-conscious price structure, are major pluses, Mrs. Nakash feels.

"As more and more Jamaican business houses and groups continue to gravitate to the more relaxing allure and ambience of the island's breezy North Coast, SuperClubs has been positioning Rooms to accommodate and facilitate them," she reports.

Rooms hosted many Jamaican holiday seekers in its first year, reports Errol Lingo, the resort's general manager. Last October, many guests came from all over the island.

The resort boasts myriad entertainment, water sports and other facilities, and is the first-ever European Plan (EP) operation for a SuperClubs property.
