Congrats to The Gleaner
published: Friday | December 2, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I MUST say first of all that I am truly proud to be a Jamaican living in the United States.

I am a film student here in the Big Apple and you have done a great job over the years to present, and I feel tremendous pride reading your paper with my American friends here in a Starbucks café.

News, weather, sports, features, it's all there. I feel up to date with my country's current affairs.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication in making The Gleaner the most read, accurate and prestigious paper. It makes me feel proud of the work my people are doing.

Your article about Jermaine Rowe is great. It makes me feel that Jamaicans are surely uplifting themselves. Well done Jermaine, hope to see you on Broadway.

I am, etc.,
