AS PART of its theme of wellness and healthy lifestyles, The Gleaner will be represented by five runners in tomorrow morning's Reggae Marathon in Negril.

According to The Gleaner's marketing co-ordinator, Donna Hinds, the five were chosen in August and from then on each has kept a diary of what has transpired and the progress they have made.

Hinds said one of the reasons five people were chosen was because the Reggae Marathon is celebrating its fifth year.

The five are Lonsdale Ergus, Carlton Palmer, Sandra Bramwell, Tanya Powell and Oral Anderson.

They have received training shoes, medical check-ups, have had their entry fees paid and accommodation and transpor-tation arranged.

SPONSORSHIP

They will be wearing branded Gleaner shirts as part of the sponsorship. The five, except for Anderson who is an employee at the company, were chosen based on entries they submitted in response to a competition put on by The Gleaner and Reggae Marathon.

The competition was designed for persons who wanted to do something new, different, challenging, exciting, fun and life-changing.
