published: Wednesday | December 7, 2005

THE ROCK River police have arrested three men in connection with the theft of items from the house that was owned by late Clansman leader, Donovan 'Bulbie' Bennett.

According to Constable Odale Mulgrave, of the Constabulary Communication Network in Clarendon, the items valued at more than half a million dollars were stolen from the Rock River, Clarendon, home of the slain Clansman boss between Monday night and yesterday morning.

SEVERAL ITEMS RECOVERED

However, Constable Mulgrave said several of the items have since been recovered.

Among them are five televisions, a bedhead, four fans, a bathroom scale, seven bedside lamps, two mattresses, rugs and several items of clothing.

Investigations into the matter are continuing, as it is believed that other items were stolen from the premises.

The police have reportedly been closely monitoring the house since Bennett was killed on October 30, during an alleged shoot-out with the police at the house in the community of Tanaky, Rock River.
