Tafari Lions, Super Action hunt second victories

EARLY LEADERS Tafari Lions and Super Action search for their second wins as action in the Wray & Nephew-sponsored St. Elizabeth Major League continues tomorrow with three matches.

Zone A leaders Tafari Lions (three points) face Foster Youths at Lyco while Super Action, leaders in Zone B, entertain Middle Quarters Police Youth Club at Mountain Side. Both matches will start at 3:30p.m.

In matches played within the last week, leaders after one round, Balaclava United, led by a brace from Loren Forrest, crushed Middle Quarters Police Youth Club 5-1 at Balaclava playfield on Tuesday.

Winston Blake and Christopher Robinson were also on the scoresheet for Balaclava who benefited from an own goal.

In the day's other game, Super Action defeated Vineyard Youth Club 3-2 at Mountain Side.

On Wednesday, Mario Godfrey's lone strike carried promoted Rasta Camp to a 1-0 win over New River United at Lyco. Epping Forest and Foster Youths drew 0-0 at Munro.

Meanwhile, in the season's opening matches played at Lacovia Community Centre last Sunday, dethroned Super League team Thornton went down 3-0 to Holland Police Youth Club.

In the venue's second game, Tafari Lions edged Black River 2-1.
