published: Monday | December 12, 2005

Byron McDaniel, Gleaner Writer

WALDERSTON, Manchester:

OPERATOR OF Patmore's Funeral Homes in Lowe River, Trelawny, Paul Patmore, has indicated that he will be seeking to become the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) caretaker for Southern Trelawny.

This comes in the wake of an announcement by current Member of Parliament Devon McDaniel, not to seek re-election in the next general election.

Patmore, 35, has been in the funeral business for the last 9 years.

"Him assist us in every way, and if him ever run in election , him can not loose." said farmer Rutland Simpson of Lowe River.

Mr. McDaniel was successful over PNP's Doreen Chen in the last election.

Speaking with The Gleaner Mr. Patmore said, "I am ready for challenge to represent the people of South Trelawny, I am not expecting any challenge, by the time the selection process takes place in March 2006."
