KINGSTON COLLEGE (KC) will look to make it three home wins in a row when they take on Vauxhall, while Calabar will travel to St. Jago with the hope of stealing their second road win in a row, as action in the KFC-sponsored ISSA High School Basketball competition's Southern Conference continues at 3:30 p.m. today.

Led by captain Omari Green, KC have had a comfortable season so far, their first encounter being a 45-16 hammering of St. Andrew Technical (STATHS) and their second a 79-38 thumping of Camperdown. Against a very inexperienced Vauxhall team the result of today's encounter could be of a similar nature.

Despite this fact, however, KC's coach Christopher Meikle does not intent to take his opponents lightly.

"I really haven't seen a lot of Vauxhall but I'm taking everybody seriously and I'm going in expecting a strong challenge from them," he remarked.

Meikle believes that the success of his team so far this season is due more to experience rather than home court advantage.

TOUGH LOSS

Following up on a tough opening day loss to St. Catherine, the defending champions were able to come away with a hard fought 66-60 victory over Meadowbrook at home to notch their first win of the season and travelling to face a tough St. Jago team at home may not be an entirely different prospect.

St. Jago remain the only unbeaten team in Zone A, and their confidence will be high coming off a huge home win against a tough St. Catherine. Nonetheless, Calabar's coach Ludlow Barker remains confident.

"We will be hoping to go there and come away with a win tomorrow. They are the only unbeaten team in our zone, but we hope to change that," he commented.

Barker believes that the team's first win of the season has gone a long way in terms of building their confidence.

"Our attitude is definitely a lot more positive because now we know that we can win a game. St. Jago definitely won't have it easy, even though they have the advantage of being at home," he said.

In the day's other game Jose Marti will look to maintain their perfect record on the road when they travel to Jamaica College.
