Last-minute lifeline bid turned down
SAN FRANCISCO (AP): A FEDERAL appeals court rejected a stay of execution yesterday for Crips co-founder Stanley 'Tookie' Williams who is scheduled to die after midnight unless California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger spares his life.
