LETTER OF THE DAY - Quality education for nation building
THE EDITOR, Sir: TRADITIONALLY, THE amalgamation of home, school, and church en-sconced in community, was the stabilising force in a child's life. Sadly, we have witnessed the disintegration of that structure.

Order in Half-Way Tree
THE EDITOR, Sir: LET ME congratulate Minister Pickersgill for his insight and also his staff for bringing some sort of order and control at the Half-Way Tree 'mixing bowl'. I have to say since the Monday morning when this change went into effect...

Great opportunity missed
THE EDITOR, Sir: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2005 was a wonderful day for scores of young Jamaicans, their parents, friends and well-wishers who gathered at Emancipation Park in New Kingston for the Prime Minister's annual National Youth Awards for Excellence.

Classical music request
THE EDITOR, Sir: I READ with much interest Norma L. Perkins' letter of Wednesday, December 7, and would like to join her in asking the radio stations to play some of what is called 'Classical Music'.
