King scores again for Watford
published: Sunday | December 18, 2005

LONDON, CMC:

JAMAICAN INTERNATIONAL Marlon King notched his 12th goal of the season for Watford, but the East England club lost its first game in nine outings when they went under 4-1 to Burnley in the English Championship yesterday.

King, who has been in sublime form since arriving at Watford on loan from Nottingham Forest at the start of the season, found the back of the nets in the 62nd minute, after his side had gone behind 2-0 at halftime.

Graham Branch had sent Burnley ahead in the 32nd minute before John Harley doubled the lead three minutes before halftime.

Burnley, whose side includes Jamaican international Frank Sinclair, then stretched their lead after 77 minutes when Harley netted from the spot and James O'Connor's 77th minute strike confirmed the rout.

Watford remained third in the tables on 39 points while Burnley moved into eighth position on 35 points.
