LAST FRIDAY, survivors and volunteers of Woman Inc. Crisis Centre were treated to a fabulous makeover by La-Marie Spa Institute.
In keeping with the spirit of giving associated with the Christmas season, managing director of La Marie Spa Institute Paulette Dixon, said they wanted to give the treat to someone who needed it. She noted that the institute wanted to reach out an share especially at this time of the year as we are in the season of giving. "We spent the entire day at the crisis centre to make them feel that someone cares about them".
Two of those who were pampered for the day were Pauline Blake and Joan Stewart. Helped through the crisis centre, these survivors were the centre of attention by the instructors and students of La Marie.
They got their hair, face and nails professionally done. They were also presented with gift baskets courtesy of Soft Sheen, Medi Grace and Sharell's Beauty and Barber supplies.
Ms. Dixon notes that they plan to make it an annual event for every second week in December. She noted that the ladies were overwhelmed. They were loving it.
