Repair Bog Walk roads
published: Tuesday | December 20, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE GENERAL THINKING is that the Bog Walk gorge is unsafe. Some say it should be closed permanently. For years now we in the Bamboo/Simon/Jackson area have been begging the Government and the National Works Agency to repair the Bamboo/Simon section of the road, as these roads are the best alternative routes from Spanish Town to Bog Walk.

We are again appealing to the Ministry of Transport and Works to repair these roads to avoid disaster in the Bog Walk Gorge. We talk to the Councillor, who says he has been begging for years for repairs to be done to this bit of roadway, but nothing has been done.

Mr. Editor, we are pleading with the authorities again, as this is the best route from Spanish Town to Bog Walk.

I am, etc.,

ANDREW BECKFORD

Jackson District

Bog Walk P.O.

St Catherine
