SUPERCLUBS' 85-ACRE Grand Lido Braco resort near Rio Bueno in Trelawny is just completing a multimillion-dollar renovation of its 226 rooms, six suites, the popular clothes-less playground west section and most public areas.
Zein Nakash, the super inclusive resort group's vice-president for marketing and the environment, in making the announcement today, declined to disclose the cost of the facelift.
REFURBISHING EFFORT
She describes the refurbishing as "a sweeping addition to one of the finest resorts in the Caribbean."
Much attention has been paid to the makeover of the rooms and suites, with a new colour scheme for the bed linen, cushions and drapes, according to general manager, Ron Droegmyer. Blended with mahogany-styled furniture this gives more tropical feeling, he says.
Grand Lido Braco's popular 'Reggae Café' Jamaican restaurant and the 24-hour clubhouse have been remodeled, the two main swimming pools have been refurbished, and the resort's entire acreage has been irrigated. A 10,000-square-foot greenhouse has also been built, and the nine-hole executive golf course has been reconditioned.
SOLID REPUTATION
To meet growing demand and popularity, the nude beach area's eating facility has been expanded, with the addition of several umbrella tables.
The resort's buildings have been repainted, all roofs and air condition units replaced.
In its eight years as a SuperClubs Super Inclusive resort, sprawling, undulating Grand Lido Braco has built a solid reputation in the global tourism destination marketplace.
Apart from its more regular accommodation Grand Lido Braco also has its consistently popular 'au natural' west section of devil-may-care fun and adventure, consisting of 52 of the resort's 58 suites.
The resort caters to couples, families with children 16 years old and over, as well as singles.
