SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:
A 17-YEAR-OLD schoolboy has been charged by the Spanish Town police in connection with the murder of his grandfather.
According to Detective Inspector Derrick Champagnie, on December 28, Cornelius Bowdy, the grandfather of the juvenile, was found at his home in James Mountain with his head bashed in.
The teenager, who lived with Mr. Bowdy, reported to the police that he arrived home about 3:00 a.m. and found his grandfather in a pool of blood.
The teenager said he did not know what happened.
However, Mr. Champagnie said that following further investigations, the police arrested and charged the youth.
